Christmas Train

We stayed up late and drove to Canmore to see the Christmas Train. Grandpa and Don even came.

Face Painting

Mike had a blast at the Cenovus kids party. Bouncy castles, bunnies and face painting.

Once Upon a Christmas

We went to Once Upon a Christmas at Heritage Park. Mike and Emma got to see Santa in the roundhouse. Mike played in the snow with Luke and Chloe. The kids painted snow with water bottles and we saw the model trains.

Reindeer

We went to see the Reindeer at Spruce Meadows. The weather was great and we had a super time getting in the Christmas spirit and visiting the petting zoo.

Happy Thanksgiving!

For Thanksgiving we had dinner at our house (Gramma was sick so she didn't come, Michael was very confused about why we weren't going to pick her up, but that we kept calling her).  Michael helped cook dinner.

Emma slept most of the time. Then Alex and Michael played together while the adults played cards and had drinks (even some fizzy fake cocktails).

Alex and Michael are best friends...now Emma and Aiden can be best friends too!

Spark with Baka

Baka came with Michael and Emma to Spark! What a fun afternoon. Baka and Michael used the treadmill to make the lights come on. They built a pipeline for the ping pong balls and made some music.

Christmas Brunch at Selkirk Grill

Grandma and Grandpa took us for brunch and a visit to gasoline alley museum. Emma slept and ate while everyone played.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! Mike went Hallowteering at spook-O. It was super fun, hope theres one in the south next year, the crowd was certainly large enough. Grainy photos were all the iPhones could capture, Michael was busy trying to get to the next control, he didn't want to stand still for a photo.

Michael went as Buzz Lightyear and Emma was a ladybug (thanks to Karen and Jay for the costume loan).

We carved a pumpkin, and used plastic pieces to turn another into "Woody". Then Mike and Emma went trick or treating around our block. Followed by trick-or-treating with Alex at Baka and Dida's. At preschool Michael was in a costume parade (We edited the photo so only Mike is shown, as per preschools online rules).

Hoppy Visits

 

This weekend Hoppy came to stay at Michael’s house. Hoppy rode to Michael's house in the middle seat of the car. Then Hoppy and Michael had snack and watched cartoons. Hoppy slept in baby Emma's playpen. Michael had special animal pancakes to celebrate Hoppy's visit. 

On Friday Hoppy joined Michael at soccer, watched Michael and Alex play with play-doh and hung out on the counter to watch dinner being made. 

On Saturday Michael and Hoppy played helicopter with a cardboard box, watched cartoons and got to play with Grandpa Adrian and Grandma Charlotte before they left for Asia.

Hoppy supervised play-doh creations with Grandma.  On Monday, Hoppy was very sad because he wasn't allowed to play in the snow with Michael and Rylyn (his friend from next door).  Hoppy watched from the window. Then he had hot chocolate and a nap on the couch with Michael.

On Tuesday it was Remembrance Day. It was very cold. Hoppy wore a poppy just like Michael, to say "Thank you" to our soldiers for keeping us safe. We decided to stay indoors, and play at home and eat pudding.

Star struck by Santa

Michael and met Santa on Saturday. Michael was over the moon that Santa was in the mall. Sitting on Santa's chair Michael asked Santa where his reindeer were. Santa told Michael that the reindeer were on the roof. Michael spent the rest of the time looking for the reindeer through the window.

 

Then, Michael got to decorate a cookie at the elf kitchen.

 What an exciting way to start the Christmas season!

Aunt Kali's Baby Shower

On Sunday 9 November 2014, Emma and Mom went to Aunt Kali's baby shower at Yellow Door Bistro. Emma had a great time visiting with Baka, Auntie Lisa, Krysten, Sydney and Gram. She also had a good time smiling at all Aunties friends. The people with teeth enjoyed a buffet brunch and a kitkat duckie cake.
